About Surajya RaktSetu
Surajya RaktSetu is a blood donor and blood-request platform that connects people who need blood with nearby donors who are ready to help. Our donor community is known as RaktMitra.
How donor registration works
People register as RaktMitra donors with basic details, blood group, location, and consent to receive requests. Registration does not claim medical eligibility.
How blood requests work
Anyone can create a blood request with hospital details, blood group, units, and urgency. Requester phone numbers are kept private on public request cards.
How donor matching works
When a request is created, Surajya RaktSetu looks for active, available donors with a matching blood group in the same city/area, ranks them by distance and availability signals, and creates match + notification records.
Important medical note
Actual blood collection and transfusion must be handled through authorized blood centres and hospitals. Surajya RaktSetu is a connection platform — not a medical facility and not a blood bank inventory system.
